In May, the Phokeethra Country Club was host to several visiting members of the Malaysian royal family. The visitors were given the 'royal treatment' by the Club and enjoyed several rounds of golf in Cambodia's premier golfing facility.

During May 12 Ð 15, 2008, the Club and the official Malaysian delegation gave a warm welcome to His Royal Highness Sultan of Perak and Her Royal Highness Raja Permaisuri of Perak. Following their visit, the Club had a great opportunity to welcome His Majesty Tuanku Mizan Zanial Abidin, Yang di-Pertuan Agong; the thirteenth king of Malaysia and the Sultan of Terengganu on the May 31, 2008.

The royal visits underscore the growing prestige Phokeethra Country Club is enjoying in the region.
